Worship Services
At UPC, we embrace the Reality in Ritual. So come experience worship that is awe-inspiring, historic, inclusive, and vibrant. Additionally, we celebrate the Eucharist (Holy Communion or Lord’s Supper) on the first Sunday of each month, every Sunday during Lent, and on all major Church Feast Days.
Sermon Series
The Service for the Lord’s Day
Our main Sunday service, the Service for the Lord’s Day, celebrates Word and Sacrament as detailed in our Directory for Worship from the Book of Order and the 2018 Book of Common Worship. Because our liturgy flows from our faith commitments, at UPC you will experience a liturgy rooted in the historic Church, the Reformed tradition, and the global ecumenical community. Join us for participatory praise focused on Word and Sacrament. The Service for the Lord’s Day is offered both in person and online via Facebook.
Daily Worship
Besides the Service for the Lord’s Day, we encourage individual participation in the Daily Office–Evening Prayer (a.k.a. Vespers or Evensong), Night Prayer (a.k.a. Compline), Morning Prayer, and Midday Prayer–from the Book of Common Worship (2018) as well as Lectio Divina (“Divine Reading”), a meditative scripture reading method, which can be combined with the use of daily devotions as found in These Days, our denomination’s quarterly devotional booklet (available at the church, or click the link to subscribe). We have streamed many Daily Office services, as well as tutorials on Lectio Divina, on YouTube Channel.
